Former Goldman Sachs Exec Timothy Dattels Joins RIM’s BlackBerry Board (June,2012) Jun 15th 2012, 03:12 Research In Motion will be replacing Antonio Viana-Baptista as an independent direct from the company’s board. In Viana-Baptista’s place will be former Goldman Sachs executive Timothy Dattels. The remainder of the board will undergo a re-election at an annual meeting due on July 10.Timothy Dattels is currently a senior partner at TPG Capital LP and had previously been head of investment banking for Asia at Goldman Sachs. We’ve seen a bit of a shakeup in the RIM board so far this year. Perhaps RIM will secure more mobile and investment leaders to its board at its upcoming re-election.via Reuters
